General The policies and processes related to outcomes collection, and how the information is used. Assisting and supporting researchers with entering and submitting their outcomes to the funders on time. Understand the requirements for reporting from their funder(s), enter the relevant information into the Researchfish platform, and submit it on time. The Researchfish platform technology, and training/supporting users in their use of it.
Specific areas
  • Outcomes reporting requirements
    as part of the T&Cs of an award
    e.g. timing, frequency and
    sanctions.
  • Details of the award e.g. PI name,
    grant title, start and end dates.
  • Clarification of questions asked in
    the platform, or clarification of
    where to enter a particular
    outcome.
  • Additional Questions e.g.
    clarification of the questions,
    when needs completing, how the
    information is used.
  • Ownership and use of the
    submitted outcomes data.
  • Enabling researchers to
    understand how the information
    provided is used and why it is important.
  • Assisting researchers understand
    the requirements from the funder.
  • Reviewing and providing accurate
    response codes to funders when
    requested.
  • Support researchers with entering
    and submitting their outcomes
    information.
  • Pointing researchers to sources of
    assistance and training.
  • Supporting funders in enabling
    researchers to understand how the
    information provided is used and why it is important.
  • Set up an account in Researchfish for their award(s) via the invitation email sent by the relevant funder. 
  • Set up any relevant delegates to assist with entering/updating outcomes information.
  • Set up any relevant team members to share outcomes information with. 
  • Enter and/or update relevant outcomes information.
  • Complete any mandatory additional question set by funder.
  • Submit updated information to funder before the set deadline.
  • Link ORCID ID and/or Scopus ID to Researchfish profile to enable automated harvesting of outcomes (optional).
  • Accessing the platform e.g. resending an invitation, password issues
  • Guidance on how to enter outcomes e.g. searching for publications, using the further funding and other looks ups, attributing outcomes to different awards.
  • Guidance on linking an account with an ORCID and/or Scopus ID, and setting the correct permissions.
  • Addressing any platform issues with users, or any aspects of the platform not working as expected (i.e. bug).
  • Seeking feedback and suggestions for improvement. 
  • Ongoing development and evolution of the platform.
