To begin Sharing Data, you will need to navigate to e-Val > General Admin > Data Sharing and tick the ‘Enable sharing of your organisations awards data’ tick box. Once ticked, the window will expand to display a list of all Researchfish Member Orgs with data sharing enabled.

Click ‘Next’ to define the awards you wish to share.

The next screen will allow you to input your excluded or restricted data shares.

If you choose to exclude any awards from sharing then no organisations will see that award, an example of 
an award you may wish not to share may be a test award. 

By not sharing financial data the award value will not be displayed but the outputs associated with the award will be. An example of an award that you may wish to restrict the financial data on is an award where your organisation pays directly to the PI and not the research organisation.  

Once you have selected the awards to exclude click start sharing to bring up the “Confirm Sharing settings” 
settings. The next screen will overview your award details and asks you to accept the terms and conditions. 
If you are happy, click Confirm Settings. 

Once you have confirmed your settings you will be taken back to the e-Val > Admin > Data Sharing main page. You will notice that your selected award exclusions are listed under the relevant headings.

Please check the website periodically for the latest list of Researchfish RO users. These organisations have read only access to your data and are unable to edit it; they are however able to report and download data in the same way funding organisations are.
