Feature: Reviewer tool

Bespoke (Funder specific) BETA functionality that enables a Funder to select peer Reviewers to assess the information reported by PI’s within the researchfish system.

  • A Funder can set and extend Review Periods on an award by award basis.
  • Funders can invite Reviewers (1 or more) to review each award.
  • Current users of researchfish are recognised and new users register to use the system.
  • Alerts let Funders, PIs and Reviewers know when an action requires their attention.
  • Funders can ask Reviewers any specific questions about the award reported on.
  • Reviewers see the most recently submitted information from the PI.
  • User specific workflows are in place with messaging depending on whether you are a Funder, PI or Reviewer.

Cosmetic, UX and Content Improvements

  • Signpost the benefits of connecting ORCID accounts to researchfish updating the Login page, User guide, FAQs and our Publication search.
  • Accessibility updates:
    • Ensuring that Web pages appear and operate in predictable ways.
    • Making it easier for users to see and hear content including separating foreground from background.
    • Ensuring that text content is readable and understandable.
  • Ensure the timestamp is added to the Status and Last Saved Date for Common Outcomes and Additional Questions.
  • Updates to text around welcoming all users and thanking PIs for submitting their outcomes.

Functional improvements 

  • When previewing an outcome, users can now see the awards that they have attributed it to.
  • Invitations to use researchfish are marked as ‘redeemed’ once the user has successfully completed the invitation process. 
  • Research Organisations can now access the Award Type, PI ID & Accepted invite fields through e-Val.

Bug fixes 

  • RO Lite ‘Unlock your data’ button moved over to right hand side of screen.
  • News block on the login page to be inline with 'Don't have a Researchfish account yet?'
  • Publications Import failing to handle special characters and math http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML symbol.

Operational updates 

  • Data management and migration tasks.
  • Security updates.
  • Additional question updates for Funders that use the PPI questions and new questions for Cancer Research UK.
