Better user experience

• Feature – Funders are now able to download the current RHT Award data from the system and upload them onto the platform for Researchfish to then process. This should speed up the time it takes for Researchfish to process the data. Basic validation about the structure of the file has been added and further improvements will be added and updates shared here in coming sprints. For full details of the steps involved in using this go to our documentation page.
• Feature – Funders require a mechanism to “lock” changes made to the PI through the user interface from further updates through the RHT import mechanism. This may be used to make temporary changes to PI assignment which are not reflected in their back office (e.g. grant management) systems. A change to the platform has been made to the Add/Edit award PI screen will be updated with an additional Date field “PI Lock”. When a date is selected within this field, the PI record will be locked until this point.
• Improve - we have made some changes to the complexity we require with the passwords that our users enter on the platform, as part of ongoing security upgrades. Please contact our Product Manager for further information (details below).
• Improve – Where a Funder clicks on the Award details in e-Val this now opens in a new tab.
• Fix - As an RO admin with Full Access who also has Read Only permission, searching for an award and the search is incorrect, a sensible error message now appears that gives the use clear instruction on what to do.

Enhanced data collection

• Feature – Where a Researcher is asked to add a location, new functionality has been added to speed up the time and accuracy of the results returned with new algorithms that include AKAs.
• Improve – Where a Researcher is asked to add a label or title, this is used by UKRI, changes to the question and guidance text have been made to make this clear when they are being filled in.
• Improve – Updated data has been pulled in for Further funding sources from EPMC, CORDIS, GTR, NIHWR & RF-RHT
• Fix – the ‘is_draft’ state now synchronises across all our environments for Additional Questions.
