Better user experience / Reducing the burden

Improve - Users have a better experience now when accessing a 'protected document' on the platform. If users are sent a link to a document meant to be protected and accessible only to logged-in users, they are now sent to a page to login and once logged in, the download will complete. Before this change, users trying to access the documents were taken to a blank page when clicking the shared link.
Fix - Centres can add additional projects manually as expected. Fixed issue causing an error to display when a Centre Admin searching would select Funding Awards OR Centre Projects and add a new project.
Fix - Excel and Word documents on Question Set Download page appear as expected with no error messages. Fixed issue with error displaying when users on the Question Set page would click on any of the Excel documents e.g. 'Researchfish Funder Additional Question Data.' The documents would download but the user got an error when trying to and when trying to open the document. Now, the document downloads and the user is able to open the document in Excel. In Word there was a similar problem. Now, when clicking on documents on the Question Set Download page, the document downloads and the user is able to open the document in Word with no warning.
Fix - The download button on reviews no longer appears before the user has entered or saved a review. When a reviewer on an award goes from the My Awards page to the Award detail page and clicks on Begin review, the download review button will not appear until the user has saved a version of it. Below are the checklist of expected action.
- When review is fill completely and saved
- When review is partly filled and saved as draft
- When the funder views review through the readonly(online review).
Fix - Funders will not see the date-picker when viewing (FWF Career Development) AQ & Allow PI to download review. When Funder or admin logs into the system and goes to the Mandatory additional questions section that has FWF Career Development AQ filled, when the user clicks on the FWF Career Development AQ, a new page is open as a “read only” view. The user can see the date in a human readable format only. Currently, both a human readable format and a date-picker interface displays. Likewise, when a PI with permission to see a review clicks the link View Review the user will see the review and the download button.
Fix - Offline-review now only includes the “view review” action button if the review has been filled out or contains data. When a funder or admin views a review from either details page or on review tabs, and the user locates any offline review, the user will not see the “View Review” button in the list of action buttons.
Fix - PIs do not see the name of the reviewer on the review, as expected, & Delegate members do not see the reviews at all.
Fix - PI is now able to Download Review as expected. A PI looking at a Review of their award in Approved status viewing the My Award Details page and clicking a “View Review” link is redirected to a read only Standard Review page with Download Review button at the bottom. Previously, users in this situation would be redirected to a read only Standard Review page without the Download Review button at the bottom.

Improve – Updates made to the Invention Disclosure & Ownership Additional Question for Nova Nordisk Fonden.
Improve - Ethos and Inspire / HEP data has been refreshed. Added local data for this, then added stub records and ids and then refreshed the publications.

Improve - Award reference now displays as expected on the Award details page for e-Val Search (beta). When a Funder Admin searches for an award and visits the award detail page, the Award reference will appear on the page (reference number will appear below logo and above Funding period).
Improve - Users can now view outcomes, organisations and people from the Awards detail page in e-Val Search (beta). When a user is on Awards details page and they click on the View related outcomes link / button, the user is sent to a search page where they can view the related outcomes, organisations and people.
Improve - Funder Admins can define the field to search by for an Award within e-Val Search (beta) . On the Awards tab, when a user clicks the Advanced search link, they can select one from the following fields and search on that field:
- Title
- Abstract
- Summary
- Award Reference
